Daily Journal December 30, 1997, William Thomas Thompson. Thank you Lord for the rising sun and the beauty of nature.   The Sun rose early today on this cold clear morning and I must cut short my activities and take a bath before breakfast preparing to meet Jim Craft, art director at North Greenville College. Jim promised to travel with me today to Atlanta to pick up a load of show curtains and poles for Colleen for her big annual Wedding Festival bridal show. We were taking the white van but the seats must come out of the back to allow space to load a volume inside. I should write a book about how great a person Jim Craft is. I want to paint but I want to see Jim also and have this time with him plus, I could never reject doing a favor for a daughter. How can I paint the real world and not return to the real world? I am still trying to stop time but so far it’s not working. I most want to stop time for a while or at least slow it down. If I can not do either then I want to make the very best use of every minute of time while it is happening. So let us make the very best of our time because I cannot stop it, only God can stop time. Nations come and go, empires fall, God made life and eternity. Beginning January I will write into my daily journal each day for 31 days what I think is wrong with America and why I think we will not survive in the near years to come, one reason each day. Matthew 5-5 "Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth" Now Jim is here and we are finally off to Atlanta. Let me tell you what a great person Jim is, he is the best kept secret at North Greenville College. Jim came to Baltimore May 30 this year to be with me for the opening of "The End Is Near" art show at the American Visionary Art Museum where my painting of Revelation is hanging; it is 300 feet long and will be there until mid April. I appreciate Jim in his great knowledge of art and his willingness to explain so much to me about my paintings that I do not know. Dear Lord, give us safe passage and a heart to learn thy will. After loading in the North of Atlanta, we were free to drive down town to the High Museum where Pablo Picasso paintings are showing on the entire 4th floor. I am proud we had this free time and it worked well even though we had to wait 2 hours for a time slot to get into the show, they were open until 9 PM. We went across the street and up Peachtree Street one block to eat dinner at the famous Hulohan's Restaurant. I remembered Hulohans from our glory years of trade shows in Atlanta and they always had a long line of people waiting to get in, but tonight we got in immediately. The french onion soup was wonderful and so was the baked salmon. A man¹s work follows him and reveals his thoughts so well. We returned at the appointed time to the High at 6pm with snow threatening and freezing winds blowing. This was an experience for me to see Picasso's work all organized and a taped head set to talk to you about each painting. I first listened to Jim’s description of the work and it was excellent. We then viewed the other floors and especially the Folk Art section which I relate to more than Picasso. It was a real great time for me and by this time I was being pushed by Jim in a wheelchair. We left at 9 PM for home and as we drove North on I-85 we were in snow back to Greenville.  May my thoughts be holy until the Lord God of Heaven and Earth. Psalm 36-1 "The transgression of the wicked sayeth, no fear of God." America is getting married. Our nation is fact getting married to the world with an international government, the new world order. The church is getting married to the ecumenical one world church compromised to the devil, a universal church that negates all the Apostles doctrine. Jesus Christ would be no more welcome on earth today than He was during His first coming as the true spotless lamb to be sacrificed for the sin of man one time sufficient for all times. Jesus Christ is not to be re-crucified in any mass.
