Last summer Home Depot advertised their paint discounted & I responded needing paint for the house only to find out when I arrived that the paint was not discounted, they gave you a coupon to fill out to send into the manufacture to get a rebate. I promptly left the store because I refuse to participate in their gimmick. Home Depot's excuse was it's the manufacturer giving the discount. I said then but you are the customer of the manufactory and not me, so, I refused to buy the paint at regular price. Home Depot is on Internet head lines with an unfavorable report that they are cheating their customers out of their time by staff reductions to save money with business now declining. I have complained for years that they cut down on the check out registers and I refuse to stand in their long lines. Finding someone knowledgeable to help is as scarce as finding an employee in a grocery store which I have stopped going to long ago to buy dead food. We went to Home Depot to buy casing for a door and they did not have as much as one complete set of material. Asking why they were out of stock they explained that next week they will take inventory and they did not want to count extra stock so they let it run down. Understaffing catches up to businesses and they cannot sell what they do not have. It is a sign of bad business when they let inventories run low and take inventory at odd times during the year. They dropped lots of items costing time going elsewhere.
