And received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. Your reply to our objections indicate that you're not really with it. For some reason I thought you people may have been an innocent victim as we have been but now you have clarified your involvement and in a much deeper capacity than I first thought. You have no right to fractionalize our lives. You are saying that because Greg Bottoms was on a journey, a trip is more like it, that he has the right to misrepresent us in a comedy of lies. You have spread responsibility for this massacre of the artists to other people individually in your organization. You are really marketing our blood. We will take the matter to Chicago University. You are showing total disregard for the truth. You are saying compile a list of discrepancies but that you will not correct the book unless you reprint the book. If you correct all the discrepancies in this book then there would be no book left to print. If the proof we have already provided is not sufficient evidence for you to remove the book then I doubt if you could be convinced short of major litigation. If you were the one being sacrificed for this crazy book then you would most likely not be celebrating it. The facts speak for themselves. I know of no case in history where a book of lies has survived. I request you have your attorneys write me with an opinion on my request for equal time. Greg Bottoms misrepresented his intent to us when we agreed to the interviews. On page 181 he disavows the books content in his acknowledgements "But a narrative is not life, and the moment in a text is not a moment, only a made thing that presents the illusion of a moment. I did my best though, to make these illusions look and feel like life, at least as I experienced it; and then perhaps like a documentary filmmaker" What does that mean? This should have been said on the first page. The author here is saying it is all his own illusion while he has presented it as facts. We are the ones being burned at the stake and it is not funny. I request you reconsider your gloss over of the damage done to us in your e-mail of March 30 and look at the facts. You have done us serious damage and for the record I have never worn a cross on my lapel, I did not wear a black suit on that occasion and never routinely, I have no black suit. I am not affiliated with any fundamentalist church group. The chickens are coming home to roost on Greg Bottoms and he will have his chance to prove himself a frivolous unbelievable journalist. Please advise us how many books you printed and how many you have sold. People buy art books to document art, not to get distortions. Greg bottoms is a loose cannon seemingly with no regard at all for the truth. It is time for us to go to Chicago University and the University of Vermont and ask why. Most lying journalists get caught even if they are writing for the National Enquirer lying. We of course will compile lists as part of our defense case.
